Reader’s Question:

Before my son left for college out-of -state, I purchased the university’s student health insurance plan for him and kept his old one which was under my in-state health insurance plan. When he used our health insurance plan in his school he needs to travel quite a distance to see his doctor. First of all, he doesn’t have a car. Second, even if the school has an on-site clinic, he has only gone to the clinic once within almost 2 years. This winter quarter, he got really sick for a few days. Some of his assignments due dates could be delayed. What do I need to do about his health insurance?

Carrie

Jonesboro, AR

I had the same problem before I had a Kaiser. This is how we attacked this same kind of problem when my son was still in college. My son used to attend college in Illinois years ago. We flew him home on some weekends for whatever medical needs like to see dentist, lab work, dermatology, primary physician, or orthodontist. What he did was to notify his professors that he will be having a 3 day weekend, either missing classes on a Friday or a Monday.

When he was back in Illinois, like there was this one time he had to go to the emergency room and missed classes since he had to wait for his doctor for hours and hours for a lab work reading. Kaiser only cover E.R and urgent care outside their providers such as their accredited hospitals and doctors. All the pharmacy bills are reimbursable through proof of purchase like receipts for all claims.

There is one reason why I love Kaiser even until now…they reimbursed all my pharmacy claims without any further questions whatsoever. It took a while though…my son simply forgot to mail the receipts directly to Kaiser Claims…he instead mailed it to us by mistkae. Luckily, I was able to resolve the issue after ½ of a year, all because of that one mistake. I now understand how things should be done for claims, such as making sure my son keeps his receipts. There are some trouble in certain incidents when you cannot fly your son out for medical.

At another incident, my son got hit by a car, and couldn’t fly out, so everything had to be on us for that case. So that’s just another disadvantage I see if you choose to keep your in-state health insurance policy.

Mady

Little Rock, AR

There is definitely more to this than meets the eye. For one, auto insurance companies in Little Rock Arkansas AR always like safe drivers. My guess is that your new car is the cause of the increase in your auto insurance premiums, though it doesn’t even have to be a luxury car. Auto insurance companies keep records and certain vehicles have higher accident track records than others, or they may be more expensive to repair than others. These issues are usually the main reasons which can result in auto insurance premium increases. Another can be that some cars are more prone to vandalism and theft than other cars. There can be negative factors which cost money in the auto insurance world. Despite that, you have a long, successful relationship with your auto insurance provider in Little Rock Arkansas and chances are that your agent will do his best to help. So act quick and get your concerns over the phone to your agent in AR.

Reader’s Question:

Can you please explain if it is possible to question an insurance beneficiary? If so, what are the probable grounds if th epolicy is from Little Rock, Arkansas AR?

Allen

Little Rock, AR

Dispute over an insurance policy do really happen in Little Rock, Arkansas AR sometimes, and the usual reason would be the number of beneficiaries or the names of the beneficiaries.

If the policy holder dies and wasn’t able to inform his agent to update the data on his policy, like number of children (instead of 2 by the time of death its already 3), it can pose a problem. Another cause for trouble would be if the policy holder re-marries and the current wife is not the beneficiary instead the beneficiary was still the ex-wife.

In the examples mentioned, the common reason for the dispute was the failure of the policy holder to update his/her policy entries especially the beneficiaries. In cases like these, only the court in Little Rock, Arkansas AR has the sole power to decide in determining the legitimacy of the petition.

As a policy holder it is but proper to make some updates with our policy from time to time, emphasizing the beneficiary issues. It is the sole responsibility of the policy holder to avoid giving any legal problems to the family. Remember that once a policy holder passes away nobody can cure the issues on beneficiaries except the court.
